SEAMEO RETRAC would like to invite you to join our workshop in order to enhance your English writing skills for the IELTS Academic Writing Task 2. Simultaneously, you will have the opportunity to exchange your ideas and experience on writing in this section with other IELTS students and our English native teacher.

In the IELTS writing test, Task 2 carries the greater weight in scoring, contributing to two-thirds of the overall test score. Therefore, Task 2 will usually be more difficult to score than Task 1. In this task, candidates must write an essay with a minimum length of 250 words, and should be completed in 40 minutes. Candidates must use formal, academic style and vocabulary to present their opinions according to the requirements of the test.

Ms. Lori Ann Shea, an IELTS English native teacher at SEAMEO RETRAC, will provide you with useful knowledge and tips to help you improve your writing skills effectively.
