“Medal for Educational Achievements” Being Awarded to Professor David Wood

November 26, 2010, at SEAMEO RETRAC, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Tran Ba Viet Dzung, Director General, International Co-operation Department, presented the Medal for Educational Achievements to Prof. Dr. David Wood, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Curtin University, Australia.

 The award is to recognize Prof. Wood’s continued contributions to educational co-operations between Vietnam and Australia in general, and between Curtin University and Vietnam’s educational institutions in particular.

On the same day, the Graduation Ceremony for the graduates of the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics Intake 5 was formally held at SEAMEO RETRAC. 42 graduates were conferred with the degree of Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics by Curtin University. This is a successful joint training program conducted by Curtin University, SEAMEO Regional Language Center in Singapore (RELC), and SEAMEO RETRAC. The program has been introduced into Vietnam since 2006, with 5 completed courses and 177 graduates.
