English club titled “Lunar New Year 2023”
Lunar New Year, also known as “Tet”, is not only the transitional period between the old year and the new year of the lunar calendar, but also the most important traditional holiday for Vietnamese people. “Tet” is also considered a “refreshing” day, a day for people to hope for a peaceful, prosperous and favorable new year and put aside all bad luck in the previous year. This is also an opportunity for people to gather with family and loved ones to share their happiness and sadness in life as well as celebrate “Tet” together in the joy of family and loved ones.
In addition, the Lunar New Year is also a common speaking topic, especially in English conversations and exams. Therefore, SEAMEO RETRAC would like to invite you to join our English club to talk and discuss about it through English speaking activities.
Ms. Sarah Sirk, a teacher at SEAMEO RETRAC, will provide the participants with useful knowledge and appropriate English usage to help them talk about and/or describe “Tet” accurately and effectively through interactive speaking activities with the English native speaker.
