SEAMEO College – Module 3: Forum on “Innovations in Education: Innovative Approaches to Student Learning and Development in Southeast Asia Region”
On July 09-11, 2014, SEAMEO RETRAC hosted SEAMEO College – Module 3: Education Leaders Innovation Forum with the theme “Innovations in Education: Innovative Approaches to Student Learning and Development in Southeast Asia Region”. It envisioned at strengthening the capacity of education leaders and practitioners as well as promoting education and social development in Southeast Asia Region for an Integrated ASEAN Community. SEAMEO College is a SEAMEO project funded by the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR) through the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the guidance of the SEAMEO Secretariat as the Executing Agency.
Participants came from the eleven SEAMEO member countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam. The forum was facilitated by two international consultants from the United States of America, and two resource persons from Indonesia and the Philippines. As an executing agency of SEAMEO College, SEAMEO Secretariat was represented by SEAMES and SEAMEO Centers’ delegates and PMOs (Project Management Officers) to observe the conduct of the three-day forum. At the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Vinh Hien, Deputy Minister of MOET, Vietnam attended the Opening Ceremony and delivered the opening speech. The forum was highly appreciated by the participants.
