Visit to a National Martyr Grave-Yard at Tan Bien Suburban District
On November 08, 2013, SEAMEO RETRAC Labor Union organized a visit to a national martyr grave-yard at Tan Bien Suburban District for its staff at the approach of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.This was an opportunity for the Center to pay tribute and gratitude to martyr teachers who dedicated all their lives to the development of education during the wartime of the country. Furthermore, the Center staffs also paid a visit to Cu Chi Tunnel to see with their own eyes
At the invitation of ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN), the delegation of SEAMEO RETRAC headed by Dr. Ho Thanh My Phuong, the Center Director, attended 2013 AQAN Seminar and Roundtable Meeting with the theme “Building Quality Culture and National Qualifications Framework” held from October 16 to 18, 2013 at Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
October 14-17, 2013, SEAMEO RETRAC in cooperation with the Institute for Educational Administration Development (Lao Ministry of Education and Sports), conducted the in-country training course in educational management for basic education trainers in Vang Vieng, Lao PDR.
SEAMEO RETRAC organized a professional development workshop on “Doing Interviews and Focus Group Research in Applied Linguistics” on September 23, 2013 at the Center’s premises.
SEAMEO RETRAC successfully conducted the Educational Forum, namely “Innovation in Teaching and Learning at Basic Education: Best Practices from Southeast Asia” on September 19, 2013, at Ba Ria – Vung Tau University, Vung Tau City, Vietnam.
