International TESOL Conference on “Innovations in Language Teaching and Learning”
Jointly held by SEAMEO Regional Training Center and the TESOL Association-Ho Chi Minh City on September 23-24 the international conference on “Innovations in Language Teaching and Learning” provided TESOL professionals an opportunity to share their new research findings and ideas in teaching and assisting English learners.

SEAMEO RETRAC June 13, 2010 conducted a workshop on “How to teach and learn English effectively.” The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Do Huy Thinh, Center Director together with a group of experts of English currently working at the Center.
As many as 60 teachers and lecturers from high schools, colleges and universities in Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta’s provinces participated in the workshop entitled “Critical Thinking in Teaching and Learning” at SEAMEO RETRAC on May 23-25, 2010.

A forum for parents of the Kiddy Programs to share their experiences in helping their children learn English at home was held on Saturday 24 April, 2010. The topic for discussion focused on the strategies that parents use to motivate and help their children to learn English at home through different activities like reading books, telling stories, singing English songs, playing language games, and so on.
From March 29 – April 03, 2010, SEAMEO RETRAC organized the training course in educational leadership and management for 30 educational leaders and administrators from colleges and universities in Lao PDR, Cambodia and Vietnam.
