SEAMEO RETRAC successfully conducted the Educational Forum, namely “Education for the ASEAN Integration” on September 17, 2015, at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar.

The Forum was held back to back with the Center’s 18^th Governing Board Meeting and served as a platform for the exchange and discussion of ideas and experiences in relation to the enhancement of the 21st century skills in teaching and learning and reform of teacher education to make teaching profession the first priority.

From July 16 to July 17, 2015, SEAMEO RETRAC in collaboration with the Managing Board of the National Foreign Languages Project 2020 held a training workshop on “Regional Experience and Solutions in English Teaching and Learning for an Integrated ASEAN Community.” 100 faculty members from universities and training centers and English specialists and teachers from provincial DOETs in Vietnam attended the training workshop. On the 29^th of June, the Opening Ceremony of Summer Fun 2015 was held by Kiddy Programs – SEAMEO RETRAC with the participation of 250 students, instructors from Queen College, CUNY, New York, USA and the Center’s academic staff.

On 08 June, 2015, SEAMEO RETRAC in coordination with Macmillan Education organized a workshop on “Integrating Life Skills in English Language Teaching” for teachers of English at the Center. SEAMEO RETRAC Trade Union organized a retreat for all staff to Cambodia from June 01 to 03, 2015.

This trip was a great chance for SEAMEO RETRAC staff to take a rest after a long hardworking year as well as to reinforce the mutual understanding and cooperation among staff and between staff and management board.
